Gold prices fell on Monday after reaching monthly highs in the previous session. Hot inflation data in the United States, which increased bond rates, reduced the market attraction of safe-haven bullion.

Benchmark US 10-year Treasury rates have also risen, putting pressure on demand for zero-yield gold. Gold is regarded as a safe-haven asset during economic downturns. Traders expect the Federal Reserve to take an aggressive stance against inflation.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Monday, June 13, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,02.00 per 10 gm, down 199 points or 0.38%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61,190.00 per kg, down 739 points or 1.19%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,863.59 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.63. Platinum was trading at $957.48 while palladium was trading at $1,913.12. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 49,710 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 60,881 per kg on Friday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 767.00 down 1.22% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 675.10 and Rs 223.95 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

According to the Good Returns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold may be purchased and sold for Rs 48,360 in Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. In Chennai, the same amount of valuable yellow metal costs Rs 48,430.

The 24-carat gold pricing is Rs 52,760 per 10 grams in Mumbai, Kolkata, and New Delhi. In Chennai, the same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,830.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,410 and Rs 48,390 in Patna and Surat, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,810 in Patna and Rs 52,790 in Surat.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold have hit Rs 48,360 in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Similarly, the same quantity of 22-carat purity is being offered for Rs 48,360 in Vijayawada, Mysore, and Mangalore. Furthermore, Ten grams of 24-carat gold costs Rs 52,760 in all of the aforementioned locations.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,390 and Rs 48,510 in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh, respectively. In Ahmedabad, the same quantity of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,790, whereas, in Chandigarh, it costs Rs 52,910.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold may be purchased for Rs 48,430 and Rs 48,510 in Coimbatore and Jaipur, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,830 in Coimbatore and Rs 52,910 in Jaipur.
