Gold prices fell further on Thursday as the dollar rose, reducing investor appetite for gold. Lower treasury rates, on the other hand, limited losses.

The attractiveness of gold has increased as benchmark US 10-year Treasury rates have fallen. However, the dollar has stabilised after reaching a more than one-week high on Wednesday, making bullion less appealing to foreign purchasers.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,012.00 per 10 gm, up 224 points or 0.44%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61,825.00 per kg, up 245 points or 0.40%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,851.89 per oz while Silver is priced at $21.98. Platinum was trading at $1,003.83 while palladium was trading at $2,008.20.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 49,390 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 60,811 per kg on Thursday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 786.15 up 0.83% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 680.30 and Rs 233.10 per Kg respectively on MCX.

According to the Good Returns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold can be purchased for Rs 47,500 in Kolkata, New Delhi, and Mumbai. The same amount of yellow metal can be bought in Chennai for Rs 47,400.

The 24-carat gold rates are Rs 51,820 for 10 grams in New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. In Chennai, the same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,710.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,550 and Rs 47,650 in Pune and Lucknow, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,870 in Pune and Rs 51,970 in Lucknow.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,500 in places like Kerala, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The same quantity of 22-carat purity can be acquired for Rs 47,500 in Mysore, Vijayawada, and Vishakhapatnam. Furthermore, Ten grams of 24-carat gold is worth Rs 51,820 in all of the above regions.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,550 and Rs 47,650 in Nashik and Jaipur, respectively. A same quantity of 24-carat purity costs Rs 51,870 in Nashik and Rs 51,970 in Jaipur.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,400 in Madurai and Rs 47,650 in Chandigarh. The same amount of 24-carat purity is being traded in Madurai for Rs 51,710 and in Chandigarh for Rs 51,970.
