Gold prices were trading flat as increasing bond rates restrained demand for the precious metal. The bullion market remained subdued ahead of this week’s critical US employment and inflation data, which might impact the Federal Reserve’s rate-hike roadmap to combat inflation. Later in the day, the US will release weekly initial jobless claims statistics.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,019.00 per 10 gm, down 32 points or 0.06%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61,965.00 per kg, down 61 points or 0.10%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,851.61 per oz while Silver is priced at $22.07. Platinum was trading at $1,000.71 while palladium was trading at $1,961.35.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 49,810 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 61,685 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 792.80 down 0.52% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 644.40 and Rs 237.65 per Kg respectively on MCX.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold are being purchased and sold at Rs 47,700 in Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi, according to the Good Returns website. In Chennai, the same amount of valuable yellow metal costs Rs 47,760.

The 24-carat gold prices, ten grams of the precious metal costs Rs 52,040 in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,100.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,780 and Rs 47,850 in Patna and Chandigarh, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity is worth Rs 52,090 in Patna and Rs 52,190 in Chandigarh.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,700 in Kerala, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The same quantity of 22-carat purity is available for Rs 47,700 in Vijayawada, Bhubaneshwar, and Vishakhapatnam. In all of the aforesaid places, however, ten grams of 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 52,040.
