March 20 marks the end of winter and the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and to celebrate this, Google has come up with a colourful doodle. Spring, which is known as the season of flowers begins lasts till June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere.

March 20 is the Spring equinox when the sun will pass the equator and be directly in line with the equator. The daylight hours in Northern Hemisphere will continue to get longer until the summer solstice in June. The day marks the beginning of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.

Google has come up with a colourful doodle to mark the transition. The doodle is filled with colours of the nature, including green, red, blue, yellow and pink. Apart from the colours, it also features an animated hedgedog that seems to coming out of hibernation and lots of flowers and honeybees.
