The Haryana government has announced a three-member drafting committee to frame a law on ‘love jihad’. State health Minister Anil Vij announced this on Twitter.

“A three-member Drafting Committee formed to frame law on Love Jihad in Haryana comprising T L Satyaprakash IAS Secretary Home, Navdeep Sing Virk IPS ADGP and Deepak Manchanda Additional Advocate General Haryana. Committee will study the Love Jihad law formed in other states also”, Anil Vij tweeted.

Love Jihad has become a big talking point with a slew of states coming out with new laws to curb what they consider ‘a menace’. States like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh have already announced their intentions to bring a law with Haryana joining the league. Congress-ruled states like Rajasthan have refused to do so.
