The lawyer for social media influencer Vikas Fhathak (Pathak), also known as Hindustani Bhau, has stated that his client has offered an unconditional apology in court after being detained for encouraging student riots throughout Maharashtra in support of online board examinations. The cause was right, according to his lawyer Mahesh Mulya, but it was abused and escalated into a riot. Hindustani Bhau has stated that he will help with the police probe. The social media influencer has been detained by authorities until February 4.

On Tuesday, Hindustani Bhai and some Iqrar Khan Vakhar Khan were detained for urging students to demand online examinations for classes 10 and 12, resulting in large student rallies in Mumbai’s Dharavi, where he was also present. Students gathered outside the home of Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad. A similar throng of students vandalised two buses in Nagpur.

After authorities learned about Hindustani Bhau’s involvement in the gathering, they indicated action will be done against the social media influencer.
