Honda Cars India Limited on Wednesday
launched a ‘special edition’ of its family sedan Amaze to kick-start the
festive season bonanza offers. The Japanese multinational conglomerate had
informed customers last month of special exciting offers that could be availed
on select models during the month of October.

The company on Wednesday launched
its Amaze special edition and stated that customers could avail “benefits up
to Rs 15,000 with features like DIGIPAD 2.0, Stylishly Designed Seat Covers &
Ergonomically Situated Side Armrest.”

The car will be available in four grades, the Amaze E Grade,
the Amaze S grade, Amaze V grade and the Amaze VX grade.

The Amaze E grade has been priced at Rs 617,000, while variations
in the S Grade will be available from Rs 688,000 to 790,000. The V grade has
been priced between 748,000 and 838,000.

The VX grade, which is the costliest model, will come between
Rs 796,000 and 879,000, the company stated.

The various variants of the Amaze family sedan will be powered by
either the i-VTEC petrol engine or the i-DTEC diesel engine.

The Petrol engine will have a mileage of 18.6 km/l and will
have a power of 90ps @6000 rpm. The Diesel engine will come with a mileage of 24.7 km/l and a
maximum power of 100 ps in the manual transmission.

The company has also stated that the Amaze variants are
“big on safety” and added that “the safety of the car and the
people inside it is always a priority for every Honda car.”

The various variants of the Amaze will also have the standard
ace body structure along with standard ABS with EBD. It will also contain the
ECU immobilizer system, the standard Isofix, rear parking camera, standard rear
parking sensors and a driver side window one-touch up/ down with pinch guard.

The company also stated ” every angle of the new Amaze
has been shaped to make a bigger impression.”

It added, “The aggressive front, the imposing shape, the
sculpted contours – all come together to create a bold, solid design.”

The company has touted the car as “the next big name in
town.”

The Amaze variants will be available in five colours such as
radiant red, platinum white pearl, modern steel metallic,             golden brown metallic and lunar
silver metallic.

The company said that the car will come with, ” aesthetically
designed dashboard with the advanced floating DIGIPAD 2.0 and the
multi-function steering with Paddle Shift, Voice Command, Audio, Handsfree and
Cruise Control.”

The car has also been touted as spacious as the company
stated, “The all-new Amaze is designed to feel big on the inside too. The
contours on the front seat make every ride comfortable. The rear seats come
with a relaxed seating posture and a cushioned armrest. Stretch your legs and
no doubt you’ll know this is luxury above its class.”
