For comics lovers and its vast universe, the only two names that come to the fore as the real deal are DC Comics and Marvel. The two powerhouses are unique to each other but also have similarities. While anything is possible in respective multiverses, DC has pointed out one difference that sets it apart from Marvel.

Cosmic awareness is the biggest difference between the two, DC’s Infinite Frontier initiative revealed. In layman terms, DC’s general population knows their place in the multiverse, which in itself is unfathomable. As for Marvel, they really do not know what the future holds for them.

Talked about in the DC’s Infinite Frontier #6, by Joshua Williamson and Xermanico, this cosmic awareness has previously been hinted at in the older versions throughout DC’s line-wide Infinite Frontier initiative.

Cosmic awareness makes the DC Universe aware of the multiverse. As for Marvel’s general population, they can’t stake the same claim.

This was brought to the readers after the Infinite series’ climax which saw a newer and even more omnipotent Darkseid.

The magnificent villain took the multiversal team known as Justice Incarnate to the cleaners. However, common people being witnessed in public talking about parallel universes is a cool take on DC’s growing cosmic fandom.

DC Comics, subtle in implementation, shows that “everything matters” as regular people talk about the multiverse casually.

At the end of the issue, people can be seen enjoying some beer that uses “hops from different worlds in the multiverse,” and are talking about the multiverse being cool as it makes “everything feel bigger and connected.”

At the same time, they were wary of it. “It still scares the crap out of me,” said a person.

This amount of understanding of the multiverse remains absent in Marvel.

While both multiverses are unique, DC has upped the ante by letting an average person into the debate of multiverse.
