Admit cards or call letters for the recruitment examination of Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ Executive (IB ACIO) have been released by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Candidates that have applied for the exam can visit the official website of the MHA to check and download their call letter.

The IB ACIO exam is being conducted to fill up 2,000 vacancies. The Tier-1 examination will be conducted in the latter half of February 2021. Aspirants can find details about the exam date and the city mentioned in the admit card. Those who qualify in the Tier I examination will be eligible for the Tier II exam. The ones shortlisted on the basis of Tier II exam will be called in for an interview round and then a final merit list will be released on the official website of the MHA.

Recruitment exam for Assistant Central Intelligence Officers (ACIO) is around the corner and the mock tests for the same are available on the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The selection of the candidates to IB’s ACIO post will be based on an online test that will include a descriptive type test and interview. Candidates reaching the interview round may have to take a psychometric/Aptitude Test which will be pretty much a part of interview.

The exam, that is to be held online will consist of objective type questions from topics like general awareness, quantitative aptitude, numerical, analytical, logical ability and reasoning, English language and general studies.  It would be of a total of 100 marks having 100 questions. Candidates will be marked negatively for every wrong answer. 1/4 mark will be deducted each time. 

To qualify, the candidate must score at least 35 marks. For people belonging to the OBC and EWS category, the pass mark is 34 and for candidates belonging to SC and ST category, it is 33 marks.

The Investigation Bureau said that marks obtained in the online exam will be normalised. It said, “On the basis of their performance and normalization of marks in Tier-I exam, aspirants will be shortlisted for Tier-II exam at 10 times the number of vacancies, subject to the candidate scoring the minimum cut-off.”
