However, Pakistan, in the past, hadn’t allowed its airspace for the travel of PM Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind.

In September 2019, Pakistan didn’t allow the PM to use its airspace for his travel to the United States. In the same month, it denied India’s request for the President’s travel to Iceland, through its airspace.

Again, in October 2019, Pakistan denied India’s request to allow its airspace for Modi’s travel to Saudi Arabia, over the alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
