Prime Minister Narendra Modi has topped the ‘Global Leader Approval’ rating list for the third time in a row, surpassing US President Joe Biden, Canadian rival Justin Trudeau, and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. According to the most recent statistics from the American polling firm Morning Consult, PM Modi has a net approval rating of 72%.

On the list of the 13 world leaders, Mexican President López Obrador came in second with a 64% approval rating, followed by Italy Prime Minister Mario Draghi with 57%, Fumio Kishida with 47%, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz with 42%.

US President Joe Biden, South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau all had 41% approval ratings, tying them for sixth place.

In tenth place, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez received 37% of the vote, followed by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and French President Emmanuel Macron, both of whom received 35%. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had the lowest rating of 30% due to criticism over stories of him partying during the country’s stringent coronavirus lockdown.

Notably, PM Modi has led the list by such a wide margin for the third year in a row.
