Imagine you have been served a legal notice for dancing? Crazy right? Well, not, in this case, an Indore-based woman was filmed running across the street and performing dance for an Instagram video on a busy traffic intersection. Now, she has been given legal notice by the police for violating traffic norms.

Shreya Kalra, a woman from Madhya Pradesh‘s Indore shared the video of her herself running and dancing on the zebra crossing near a busy traffic intersection. The video was uploaded on her Instagram on Monday and quickly went viral on social media.

The video shows Kalra, dressed in black, running across the road to a zebra and dancing to Woman by Doja Cat. The commuters and cars waiting at the traffic signal looked confused by the act.

Here’s the video!

The video was filmed at Rasoma Square in Indore and as per Kalra’s post, was a part of social media trends dare. At the beginning of the video, Kalra can be seen in a public place without a mask.

Meanwhile, social media users have criticised the woman for flouting COVID norms and causing inconvenience to commuters for an Instagram reel.

After the backlash, Kalra updated her Instagram caption and changed it to “Please do not break the rules – red sign means you have to stop at the signal not because I’m dancing and wear your masks guys.”

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that action will be taken against the woman under the Motor Vehicles Act.

“Whatever her intentions were, it was wrong. I will issue an order to take action against her under Motor Vehicles Acts, to stop such incidents in the future,” Mr Mishra was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

However, this is not the first time such social media trends landed users in trouble. Recently, the Mumbai Police booked two riders for a motorcycle stunt in which they were filmed flinging themselves off the vehicle.
