Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers
Hyderabad (SRH) will be facing off on Saturday, with both teams looking for
momentum in their respective IPL campaigns. Mumbai, after a loss in their first
match and a close win in the second, would want to correct the factors in the
side slowing them down. Hyderabad, on the other hand, are yet to register a victory
in IPL 2021. Having lost both of their matches so far, the team would surely
eye a win this time around.

Several key factors would be up
for consideration for both sides. Hyderabad, despite scoring 177 runs in their
season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, could not cross the 150-mark in their
second outing against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The match, significantly, took
place in the MA Chidambaram Stadium, a venue designated also for the MI-SRH
encounter. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma could acquire some advantage from the track if he uses his spin-options cleverly.

MI themselves have seemingly a lot
to mend in their middle and lower order, which KKR’s Caribbean all-rounder Andre
Russell singlehandedly demolished in the previous match.

The match could also be a stage
for Sunrisers batsman Manish Pandey to redeem himself. Despite scoring 61 and
38 in the first and second games respectively, Pandey has come under the scanner
for ultimately being unable to lead his side to victory.

Head-to-head, the two teams have
met 16 times, out of which Mumbai Indians have won 8 matches and Sunrisers have
won 8. It’s a tie-up that for sure would be broken tonight in Chennai’s M.A
Chidambaram Stadium.
