Shardul Thakur gave DC their first breakthrough in the form of de Kock in the fifth over. After that Rahul formed a 95-run second-wicket partnership with Deepak Hooda, who scored a 34-ball 52. The right-handed batter smashed six fours and a six. The partnership helped LSG to post a massive 195 for 3 in 20 overs.

Shardul Thakur was the only DC bowler to take wickets. His three scalps – de Kock, Rahul and Hooda – came at a cost of 40 runs.
