Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat against SunRisers Hyderabad in the 54th match of the 2022 Indian Premier League in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

Faf du Plessis-led RCB have made no changes to their playing eleven.

“We’ll bat. Nice to win the toss from Kane, he’s been winning the tosses. Big confidence for the group from the previous game. Same team. Nice thing with our bowling attack – got quite a lot of options. Siraj is doing the work in the nets, he’s training hard, the performances will come,” Faf du Plessis said after winning the toss.

SRH, on the other hand, have replaced Shreyas Gopal and Sean Abbott with Fazalhaq Farooqi and J Suchith.

“Was due to lose one. Was undecided but we have been chasing well. Important we do the job with the ball upfront. Have two changes. Abbott and Gopal miss out. Farooqi and Suchith come in,” SRH skipper Kane Williamson said.

After a five-match winning streak, SRH have slumped to three losses on the trot due to a variety of reasons, including injuries to their frontline bowlers. They currently sit sixth on the points table. Incidentally, Hyderabad’s last win came against Bangalore when they bundled out the team for 68.
