Hyderabad
will begin their IPL 2022 campaign on Tuesday against Rajasthan
Royals
at the  Maharashtra Cricket
Association Stadium in Pune. The Orange Army have overhauled their squad in IPL
2022 mega auction. Led by Kane Williamson, SRH’s bowling attack will be
spearheaded by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Purple Cap winner of the 2016 and 2017
seasons of IPL, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been in good form. He is still in the
reckoning of the national team.

A
good show in the ongoing season of IPL may help him find a place back in the
Indian team, with the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia around the corner.

Ahead
of the season’s first match Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a big milestone to look
forward to. With a tally of 142 wickets, the medium-pacer is just 8
wickets away from completing 150 scalps in the tournament.

The
milestone would make Bhuvneshwar the first Indian pacer to achieve the feat in
the history of IPL. Lasith Malinga and Dwayne Bravo are joint-highest
wicket-takers in IPL with 170 scalps, with the latter all set to make the
record his own this season.

Bhuvneshwar
is currently standing 8th on the list with the likes of Sunil Narine,
Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla and Amit Mishra ahead of
him along with Malinga and Bravo.

In
the IPL 2022 mega auction, SunRisers Hyderabad bought back the pacer
Bhuvneshwar Kumar for Rs 4.2 crore. The franchise would look for a stellar
performance from the paceman after losing out Rashid Khan to Gujarat Titans.

Currently,
the IPL Purple Cap list is led by Kuldeep Yadav who took three wickets.

The
15th edition of IPL started on Saturday with a match between Kolkata Knight
Riders and Chennai Super Kings, with the former winning the season opener.
Royal Challengers Bangalore became the first team to post 200+ but their 206
runs target was chased down by Punjab Kings.
