Two sides – Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals – with by far the best bowling attacks of the season will lock horns at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on Thursday. The winner of the game will go on top of the points table.

The Gujarat Titans faced their first defeat in IPL 2022 when Kane Williamson’s Sunrisers Hyderabad ran over them on Monday. Hardik Pandya and co have won three games in the season so far and sit on the fifth rung of the points table with six points. 

The Rajasthan Royals on the other hand sit on the top of the points table after beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. Their only defeat came against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

For Rajasthan, Trent Boult has been providing early wickets, Prasidh Krishna has complemented him and a young Kuldeep Sen proved his mettle by defending 15 runs off the last over vs the Lucknow Super Giants. Ravichandran Ashwin’s economy has been under 7 rpo and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has taken key wickets.
