Actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil will be making his acting debut in Anuskha Sharma’s upcoming production named ‘Qala’ alongside Triptii Dimri. On Saturday, Babil took to Instagram to announce that he has wrapped the first schedule of the Netflix film.

Babil posted a photo alongside his childhood best friend Rabia Kapoor and shared a note about what he learned during the shoot of the film.

“I have finished my first shooting schedule. Damn. Also with my childhood best friend bama side. In the process, I realised that it is absolutely necessary to remember that your self-importance will drown you if you’re not extremely careful and honest with yourself. You are part of a story and the story will always be bigger than you. (Whether you are an actor or not). Have a great day today!” Babil wrote.

‘Qala’ is directed by Anvitaa Dutt, who also directed ‘Bulbbul’. Dutt described the movie as a “heart-breaking” story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love.

“Mother-daughter relationships are sacred and often complicated. ‘Qala’ is a beautiful, heart-breaking story about a daughter who craves her mother’s love,” the director said in a statement, PTI reported.

“I am ecstatic to have such incredible actors on-board and cannot wait for the world to discover the film with Tripti, Babil and Swastika. It’s always a pleasure to partner with Clean Slate Filmz and Netflix as they believe in bringing to life empowered stories like ‘Bulbbul’, and now ‘Qala’,” she added.

Babil, on several occasions, had shared that his plans to make his debut soon.
