Actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil, who often shares glimpses of the actor’s last moments, took his Instagram on Sunday and dedicated a post to his mom Sutapa Sikdar. He posted a picture of Sutapa and wrote “The one and only. My only one. I’m so temperamental, I regret. She’s there for me, you know? The only one. No one gives a f**k about me, truly, except my mumma. I love you so much, I’m sorry for the pain. In the closing chapters of our book; selfishly, I want to be the one to take care of you.”

Babil and Sutapa, in many interviews, have talked about Irrfan’s illness and his last moments.

In one such interview, Sutapa shared that she was still not ready to talk to people about Irrfan’s death.

On Irrfan Khan’s death anniversary, Sutapa on Facebook wrote about the last hours that she spent with her husband before his death. She wrote that his friends and family sat with him and sang songs all night. She added that the healthcare staff were strangely looking at them as they were used to religious chants in critical times.

Irrfan Khan, who died on April 29, 2020, was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. Irrfan and Sutapa met when they were studying at the National School of Drama and married in 1995. Babil Khan and Ayan Khan are their sons.

On the work front, Babil will make his acting debut in Netflix film ‘Qala’ opposite Tripti Dimri. The film has been produced by Anushka Sharma.
