However%2C%20the%20UP%20government%20was%20quick%20to%20take%20advantage%20of%20Akhilesh%u2019s%20misdemeanor%20by%20registering%20a%20criminal%20case%20against%20him%20under%20various%20sections%20of%20IPC.
The%20Moradabad%20police%20also%20readily%20booked%20two%20journalists%20in%20a%20counter%20FIR%20lodged%20by%20the%20Samajwadi%20Party%20Moradabad%20District%20chief%20Jaiveer%20Singh%20Yadav.%20And%20the%20IPC%20sections%20invoked%20by%20the%20complainant%20were%20clearly%20more%20stringent%20than%20the%20laws%20invoked%20in%20the%20state%u2019s%20FIR%20against%20Akhilesh%2C%20his%20security%20personnel%2C%20and%20some%20party%20workers.
Interestingly%2C%20Akhilesh%20has%20reacted%20quite%20sharply%20to%20the%20FIR%20as%20well.%20%u201CToday%20the%20BJP%20government%20has%20lodged%20an%20FIR%20against%20me%3B%20don%u2019t%20be%20surprised%20if%20tomorrow%20they%20put%20it%20up%20on%20hoardings%20in%20the%20state%20capital%u201D%2C%20the%20SP%20president%20said%20in%20a%20tweet%20issued%20on%20Saturday.%20And%20ironically%2C%20he%20went%20on%20to%20add%2C%20%u201Cthis%20is%20a%20sign%20of%20the%20government%u2019s%20frustration%20as%20they%20know%20that%20they%20are%20now%20on%20a%20losing%20wicket%20and%20will%20be%20voted%20out%20of%20power%20at%20the%20next%20assembly%20election.%u201D
While%20the%20FIR%20and%20counter%20FIR%20may%20take%20their%20respective%20legal%20courses%2C%20fact%20remains%20that%20even%20as%20all%20politicians%20proclaim%20themselves%20to%20be%20ardent%20democrats%20they%20invariably%20love%20to%20be%20surrounded%20only%20by%20their%20own%20captive%20media%2C%20which%20simply%20laps%20up%20whatever%20they%20say%20and%20refrain%20from%20asking%20questions.
