Actor Jamie Foxx, who played classic Spider-Man villain Electro in the Andrew Garfield-starring ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, is in talks to reprise the role for the upcoming Spider-Man instalment, starring Tom Holland and being made by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, reported Hollywood Reporter.
Director Jon Watts, who made ‘Homecoming’ and last year’s ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, is in charge of the third film as well.

Foxx starrer 2014’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, which starred Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, failed to impress critics and underperformed at the box office with $708.9 million globally.
The return of Foxx gives the fans the opportunity to see a merge of different Spider-Man films. Previously, J.K. Simmons was cast as J. Jonah Jameson in ‘Far From Home’, the character he played in the iconic Tobey Maguire-starring Spider-Man trilogy.
