Australian pacer Jhye Richardson on Thursday
bagged Rs 14 crore in the IPL auction to officially become a part of the Punjab
Kings’ squad for the 2021 season.

Richardson, with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore attracted all the eight franchises, given his brilliant performance in the
recently concluded Big Bash League 10. He will now join a lineup that features
the likes of Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Nicholas Pooran in at the Punjab camp.

Richardson is what we are eyeing for,” Punjab Kings Tweeted.

Richardson has picked up 78 wickets in 62 T20 matches at an average of 7.87. He will join the likes of Mohammed Shami and Chris Jordan in the Punjab pace attack.

Punjab also bought the world’s top-ranked T20I batsman, England’s Dawid Malan for his base price of Rs Rs 1.5 crore.
