Jonty Rhodes, former South African cricketer, said that his Twitter account was hacked. Ratifying his claim, he posted a picture with a caption, “Appears that my Twitter account has been hacked, never had that before.”

The post that was shared when his account got hacked was a screenshot of a tweet from former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar about the ongoing farmers’ protests. The tweet from the former Indian batsman read, ” India’s sovereignty cannot be compromised. External forces can be spectators but not participants. Indians know India and should decide for India. Let’s remain united as a nation. #IndiaTogether #IndiaAgainstPropaganda” 

The screenshot of the tweet also shows that it has been liked by Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State in the Indian Government.

There are mixed reactions to the post on Jonty Rhodes’ account, where users are sharing their views on Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet, one user said, “Sachin is no more a legend for me.. Jai Hind

” Other user said that, “Still this tweet makes sense”.
