Actor Kangana Ranaut lashed out at Maharastra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, asking why is “taking his calls” on her democratic right after he said that the “Manikarnika” actor has “no right to stay” in Mumbai and Maharashtra and that strict action can be taken against her.

Taking on those who were attacking her on the “PoK” remark, Kangana said all those “showing their love for Maharashtra must know I am the first actor/ director in the history of Hindi Cinema to bring Maratha Pride Shiva Ji Maharaj and Rani LaxmiBai to the big screen and I faced huge opposition during the release from the same people.”

Earlier today, Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh told reporters that the actor has no right to be in Mumbai after her remarks on the city.

“Mumbai Police is compared to Scotland Yard. Some people are trying to target Mumbai Police. An IPS officer has gone to court against this…After, her (KanganaRanaut’s) comparison of Mumbai Police…she has no right to live in Maharashtra or Mumbai,” the Maharashtra home minister told ANI.

Kangana Ranaut, who has been vocal over the probe in Sushant Singh Rajput case, had on Thursday slammed the Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut alleging that the politician had given her an “open threat”.

“Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?” She tweeted on Thursday.

The “Queen” actor also targetted the Mumbai police in a tweet saying, she is actually “more scared of Mumbai police now than movie mafia goons.”

After Sushant’s death, Kangana has raised the issue of nepotism and alleged substance abuse in Bollywood. In one of her Twitter threads on August 26, She had alleged that “If Narcotics Control Bureau enters Bollywood, many A-listers will be behind bars…”

She also said that she is “more than willing to help Narcotics Bureau” provided she gets protection from centre government.

When one of the Twitter user asked the Mumbai Police to provide her with protection, Kangana replied to him saying, “Thank you for your concern sir, I am actually more scared of Mumbai police now than movie mafia goons, in Mumbai I would need security either from HP government or directly from the Centre, No Mumbai police please.”

Currently three agencies are probing Sushant’s death case: The CBI, ED and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).The actor died at his Mumbai residence on June 14.
