D. Three

Answer: A. Four

India and Bhutan share a 699 km-long border. The India-Bhutan border adjoins Assam (267 km), Arunachal Pradesh (217 km), West Bengal (183 km) and Sikkim (32 km). The border starts in the west at the western tripoint with Tibet.

From there, the border moves southwards across Mount Gipmochi and down to the Jaldhaka River. Then, the border moves to the east via a series of irregular overland lines broadly following the Himalayan foothills, notably the Dangme Chhu peak. It then turns to the north, turns west near Sakteng and then turns further northward up to the eastern Chine tripoint.

The Indian government deploys 12 battalions of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and 132 border posts, to guard the border on the Indian side. The bilateral Indian-Bhutan Group Border Management and Security has been set up to collaboratively assess and secure the border between the two countries.
