Himani Bundela became Kaun Banega Crorepati season 13’s first crorepati when she rightly answered a question on Noor Inayat Khan for Rs 1 crore. She threw her hands up in joy as KBC 13 host Amitabh Bachchan declared that the option she chose is correct and that she has won. She became a crorepati in just a week of the show’s launch.

The host, Amitabh Bachchan welcomed everyone wishing “Happy Janmashtami”. He then introduces all the fastest finger first contestants to the audience and began the game.

The Big B then made a special announcement that one of the contestants, Himani Bundela, who is part of the contestant list is visually impaired and will be answering the questions by listening to his voice.

Himani managed to score well in the Fastest Finger First – Triple Test round and sat on the hot seat to play the game with host Amitabh Bachchan.

Himani said that she was on cloud nine after hearing Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. He introduces Himani Bundela from Agra, who is visually impaired and is a Maths teacher.

The host also played a video of Himani in which she can be seen enjoying life with her family and says that she misses teaching her school kids physically. She shared that her aim of coming on the show is to run an awareness campaign in all the central government schools for disable kids.

After a brief conversation with Himani, Big B began the game with her by reading out the Rs 1000 question. What will you add in milk to extract paneer from it? And the answer is: Lemon juice

As the game went on, Himani gave answers without any confusion. She managed to cross the first hurdle and won Rs 10,000.

Himani then goes to teach Mental Maths to host Amitabh Bachchan and he learns it with full concentration. The situation leaves the audience in splits of laughter. Big B tells Himani now he will go home and show off his mental math skills.

Later, the host played the opening tune of a Hindi song and asked Himani to guess it. She answered to it correctly saying: Tera Rang Balle Balle (from Soldier) and went on to win Rs 20,000.

It was during this time, Big B asked Himani about her favourite singer and she replied to him saying that it is Jubin Nautiyal.

He then presents the 7th question of the night for Rs 40,000 for Himani. The question was: Serum Institute of India, manufacturer of COVID-19 vaccine, COVIDSHEILD is founded by which business family? Without any confusion, Himani answered it accurately, Poonawala Family. And there it was, she won the amount.

For the Rs 80,000, Amitabh Bachchan questioned, What is the oldest Seven Wonders of the Ancient World? And the answer was: Pyramids of Giza. With this, the Big B shared that Himani is the first contestant in the history of KBC who is visually impaired.

The next question for Rs 1,60,000. Which common portfolios have Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, Arun Jaitley all held in the Union Cabinet? And the answer was: Defence.

It was during this time, Himani took the help of “Audience Poll” and won the amount.

Bachchan asked the next question for Rs 3,20,000 to Himani and the question was In 2021, Bhavani Devi became the first Indian to qualify for which Olympic event? She answers the question very swiftly and won the cash. The answer was: Fencing.

The host asked the next question for Rs 6,40,000 which was: Who wrote Ghanshyam Vyas under the pseudonym? Himani shows an excellent display of her game and answers: KM Munshi. She won the amount.

In her 12th question, Big B reads out for her Which is the highest mountain in Antarctica? For this, she answered correctly: Vinson Massif.

After hearing the right answer, Big B could not stop himself from praising her. He says she is playing an unbelievable and fantastic game.

For Rs 25,00,000, the question was: Which musician of Maihar Gharana has been the guru of sitarist Nikhil Banerji, and of bansuri players Hari Prasad Chaurasia and Nityanand Haldipur? Himani gives the right answer: Annapurna Devi

It was after this question that Amitabh Bachchan surprised Himani by making a call to her favourite singer Jubin Nautiyal. She couldn’t believe that her dream came true and was over the moon after talking to Jubin.

With three lifelines in hand, Himani reached Rs 50,00,000. For the next question, Himani decides to opt for a lifeline, ‘Flip The Question’. However, before flipping the question, Big B asks Himani to take a guess and to everyone’s surprise she selects the right option. The question was: Who was the first lady scientist elected as the general president of the Indian Science Congress in 1975? The answer was: Asima Chatterjee.

She choses ‘My City My State’ as her subject of interest. Himani gets stuck on the question and ends up using her other two lifelines – 50-50, ‘Ask The Expert’ for this question: Which member of the Nehru-Gandhi family won the Raebareli Lok Sabha seat in India’s first-ever general elections held in 1952? The answer was: Feroze Gandhi.

It was when Himani won Rs 50,00,000 and celebrated the moment.

For Rs 1 crore question, Amitabh Bachchan questioned: Which of these an alias used by Noor Inayat Khan to work as a spy for Britain in France during the Second World War?

The options were Vera Atkins, Krystyna Skarbek, Julienne Aisner and Jeanne-Marie Renier. Initially, Himani was confused with Jeanne-Marie Renier option. But later, she went on with the same answer. To this, the host said it was the right answer.

For Rs 7 crore, Big B questioned: What was the title of the thesis that Dr BR Ambedkar submitted to the London School of Economics for which he was awarded his doctorate in the year 1923? The option were: The Wants And Means of India, The Problem of the Rupee, The National Dividend of India and The Law And Lawyers. To this, Himani decided to quit the game.

However, Himani answered the question with The National Dividend of India. But the answer was wrong.  The right answer was The Problem of the Rupee.
