Haemophilia is a genetic disorder that slows down the process of blood clotting. People suffering from this condition experience prolonged bleeding after any injury.  Serious complications can lead to bleeding into the joints, muscles, brain and other internal organs. 

Two major form of hemophilia occur more commonly in males than in females. Changes in the F8 genes are behind a person suffering from hemophilia A while mutations in the F9 gene result in people suffering from hemophilia B.
