#JusticeForNEETAspirants on Tuesday emerged as the No.1 trend on Twitter as thousands of students rallied to urge postponement of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG). The exam is scheduled to be held on September 12.
The voices raised against the exam by students come just a day after the Supreme Court refused to entertain a plea seeking to reschedule the medical entrance examination. However, it allowed students to move a representation before the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA has the authority to conduct the exam.
India TV reported that founder of the NCR Parents’ Association Sukhpal Singh Toor on Tuesday submitted a representation before the Ministry of Education, explaining the concerns including that the date of the exam is clashing with other exams that are scheduled around the medical entrance.

Meanwhile, several political leaders joined in the protest on Twitter and tweeted in support of the demands raised by the students.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was one among those political leaders who took to Twitter urging the central government to postpone NEET-UG 2021 exam. Rahul Gandhi alleged that the government is “blind” to students’ distress.
Earlier, the Supreme Court said that the petitioners will be at liberty to make a representation before the competent authorities on the issue and the same may be decided at the earliest in accordance with the law.

The aspirants of NEET-UG 2021 are seeking deferment on the ground that several other exams are scheduled during the period. #PostponeNeetUG has been trending on Twitter with aspirants demanding the postponement of the exam to October 2021.
It can be seen that CBSE Class 12 students have Physics exam on September 9, two major science papers in the same week of the medical entrance. Some other entrance exams including AP EAMCET will be held on September 3, 6 and 7, while the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) exam will be conducted from September 7 to 9.
