Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of a 19-kilogramme commercial LPG cylinder by approximately Rs 102.
A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder, which was previously priced at Rs 2253, was hiked by Rs 102.50 on Sunday and will now cost Rs 2355.50.

The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was raised by Rs 250 to Rs 2,253 last month, then by Rs 105 on March 1.
The price of the 14.2kg domestic LPG cylinder has not increased. Cooking gas cylinder prices were raised for the first time since October 2021 in March 2022, when worldwide crude prices rose owing to the Ukraine conflict.

The 19-kilogramme commercial cylinder now costs Rs 2355.50 in the national capital, up from Rs 2253 per cylinder previously. In Mumbai, the price of commercial LPG was raised to Rs 2,307 per cylinder from Rs 2,205 previously.
In Kolkata, a 19-kg cylinder will cost Rs 2,455 rather than Rs ₹2,351. At the same time, instead of 2,406, a client in Chennai will have to spend Rs 2,508 starting today. Meanwhile, a 5kg LPG cylinder costs Rs 655 in the national capital right now.

Meanwhile, oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation, are scheduled to organise more than 5,000 LPG panchayats across the country on May 1 to celebrate Ujjwala Diwas, according to news agency ANI.
The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is a well-known social inclusion initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s government. Every BPL household receives a free LPG connection as part of the scheme.
LPG prices in India are set by state-owned oil corporations and are changed on a monthly basis.
