West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday alleged that the bomb attack on state labour minister Jakir Hossain was part of a conspiracy and few people were ‘pressuring’ him to switch to another party. Mamata made a visit to the SSKM hospital to inquire about the minister’s health, where she also slammed the railways for not functioning properly after unidentified people hurled a bomb at him at Nimtita railway station, Murshidabad.

Banerjee told reporters that it was a preplanned attack on Minister Jakir Hossain. She further added that, it was a conspiracy and some people were pressuring the minister to join their party for the last few months. “Investigation is going on, so I will not disclose more,” she said.
