The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to begin with a mouth-watering clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday. With the COVID-19 pandemic raging again across the country, triggering a cascade of fresh restrcitions, fans have been eagerly awaiting the start of the cricketing extravaganza. The opening encounter of the tournament will start at 7:30 pm. It is being played at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. There will be a total of 56 group stage matches, which will be played at six venues. 

The six venues are Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, Chennai’s MA Chidambaram, Bengaluru’s, M Chinnaswamy, and Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
