Bollywood actor Amrita Rao‘s iconic ‘Jal Lijiye’ scene from the movie ‘Vivah’ has sparked a zillion memes on social media. Netizens have given all kinds of quirky spins to the now-wildly famous scene. It has sparked yet another meme, this time, shared by the internet-savvy Twitter account of Mumbai Police.

Giving a COVID spin to the meme, Mumbai police used it to caution people to wear masks.

“An ‘amrit’ of an advice to live happily ever after!” they captioned the post. The caption ended with #PrecautionLijiye, #AdviceGrahanKijiye and #TakingOnCorona.

The tweet became an instant hit, with one user sharing his own version of the spin. 

“#Jal lijiye, thak Gaye Hoge chor pakad pakad ke,” he wrote in the caption.

A user tagged the Bollywood actor and told her that she now has the “responsibility for the whole of Mumbai” and another one telling her “@AmritaRao you are all over.”

Earlier, the Assam Police gave a quirky spin to the meme to warn the drug peddlers. 

In their post, Rao was seen holding handcuffs, instead of glass and the tagline read, “Jail chaliye, thak gaye honge drugs peddling karte karte.”

The caption to the post read, “If the neighborhood drug peddlers have vanished into thin air, well, that’s on us. The inconvenience is NOT regretted!”

‘Vivah’ is a 2006 Amrita Rao and Shahid Kapoor-starrer film. The hit film was directed and produced by Sooraj Barjatya. The film also featured actors Anupam Kher, Alok Nath, Seema Biswas, Samir Soni and Mohnish Bahl in key roles.
