The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the probe into the bomb blast at Nimita Railway Station in Murshidabad, West Bengal, PTI reported quoting the agency’s spokesperson. The agency registered a case into the incident, which took place on February 17.

22 people were injured in the blast, including state minister Jakir Hossain.

The case into the incident was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Explosive Substances Act at the Azimganj GRP police station in Murshidabad district on the basis of a statement by an eyewitness, the spokesperson said.
