The purpose of International Women’s Day is to promote gender equality and awareness. On this day, women are honoured for being themselves, going through life, the challenges they face, and standing up for themselves. The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day, according to the United Nations, is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”

This is the day when housewives are generously pampered. We’ve put together a few recipes to help you put a smile on your lady’s face first thing in the morning. Let’s begin the day with cinnamon and honey pancakes:

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 large egg, lightly beaten

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons of cinnamon honey

Method:

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, egg, milk and honey in a mixing bowl. Pour a portion of the batter on to a griddle that has been lightly oiled. Cook until the bubbles start to pop on both sides. Serve with honey and butter.

Desserts do not pass via the stomach; instead, they pass right into the heart. Watch your woman scream with joy as you serve her these Espresso ‘n’ Cream Brownies.
