Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to travel to Germany, Denmark, and France between May 2-4, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.

PM Modi’s visit, the first in 2022, will hold talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and meet French President Emmanuel Macron.

“PM Modi will pay an official visit to Germany, Denmark, and France from May 2-4. This will be the Prime Minister’s first visit abroad in 2022,” the Ministry of External Affairs said. PM’s Germany visit is expected to strengthen the relations between the two nations on strategic and economic matters.

Here’s what to expect from PM Modi’s Denmark, France, Germany visit:

In his visit to Germany, PM Modi and Scholz will co-chair the 6th edition of India-Germany Intergovernmental Consultations (IGC). In a statement, the MEA said that PM Modi will travel to Copenhagen at the invitation of Denmark PM Mette Frederiksen.

In his Denmark visit, PM will meet the business leaders in that country and address members of the Indian community in Denmark.

PM Modi will also participate in the 2nd India-Nordic Summit being hosted by Denmark. On his return journey on May 4, PM will briefly stopover in Paris and meet French President Emmanuel Macron, the statement said.

It is reported that India and France are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations and PM Modi and Emanuel Macron, who was recently re-elected as the French President earlier this month, will set an ambitious agenda for strengthening the strategic partnership between India and France.
