Diljaan, a Punjabi Singer, died on Tuesday morning after his car met with an accident on the Amritsar-Jalandhar highway. Punjab Chief Minister tweeted about his death on Twitter.
The CM said he was shocked at the “tragic death” of such young singer Diljaan. The singer is survived by his wife and children, who are in Canada at present.
According to media report, the 30-year-old singer was travelling alone when his car met
with an accident near Jandiala Guru town of Amritsar. The police have started an
investigating of the accident. According to the Indian Express, his car hit a
stationary vehicle on the road as its front was badly damaged. People who were returning from Hola Mohalla tried to help Diljaan but he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
His new songs, including ‘Tere warge’ and ‘Hanju’ were all set to relase and the singer was excited for his new songs. “Excited for song Tere
warge and Hanju. Coming v soon , stay tuned,” the singer had written on
his social media page on March 28.
Diljaan started his journey with reality TV show Sur Kshetra in 2012.His family lives in Canada and are now returning to India.
Singer Master Saleem expressed condolences and wrote how hard working Diljaan was.
