Former Indian cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Pragyan Ojha shined for the India Legends side on Friday, as India scored a decisive victory over Bangladesh Legends in just 10.1 overs.

Stormy spells from Yuvraj Singh and Pragyan Ojha saw Bangladesh being all-out at a score of 110, which was later chased down with ease by batsmen Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.

Winning the toss and batting first seemingly did not work out for Bangladesh Legends, as they were bowled out with the easily chasable score.

Sehwag hit a 80 off 35 balls innings whereas Tendulkar played a steady 33 off 26 balls.

A former opener, Sehwag’s batting bloomed as it would, raining 10 boundaries and four sixes where Tendulkar smashed five boundaries.

Pragyan Ojha, Yuvraj Singh and Vinay Kumar picked up two wickets each, while Manpreet Singh and Yusuf Pathan got one each.

Batting first, Bangladesh could not take much of an advantage, as opener Nazimuddin scored 49 off 33 balls in the only prominent score of the innings. Javed Omar and Rain Saleh were the only two other to reach two digit-figures, scoring 12 each.

The league was cancelled last year on March 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
