Actor Shilpa Shetty has moved Bombay High Court demanding an unconditional apology from certain media houses, deletion of all defamatory content and a compensation of Rs 25 crores, according to the Times of India. She said several reports alleging her involvement in ongoing investigation of her husband Raj Kundra are false and defamatory and are damaging her reputation.

Kundra was arrested on July 19 and accused of being a part of to production and distribution of pornographic content. The Mumbai Police have recorded Shilpa’s statement and she has not been given a clean chit yet.

According to the report, in her application, she stated statement of her involvement in the said has damaged her character and reputation. 

The accused persons “made profits in lakhs in this illegal business of making pornographic films and uploading the same via some mobile apps for which subscription fees is taken from viewers,” Mumbai Police said. 

The pornographic content was allegedly uploaded on an app ‘HotShots’ that was developed by Arms Prime Pvt Ltd, a company is owned by the businessman.

Kundra has been booked under Indian Penal Code Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays), and relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
