Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra were seen together for the
first time recently after the 46-year-old businessman was arrested and subsequently
released on bail in the porn film case that rocked Bollywood earlier this year.

In the pictures and video that surfaced on social media, Bollywood
actress Shilpa Shetty was seen visiting a temple in Himachal Pradesh with her
husband. Raj Kundra was seen clad in a yellow kurta with a pair of white pajamas
while Shilpa Shetty was dressed in a yellow salwar-kameez. The authenticity of
the video was not independently verified by Opoyi.

Media sources say Raj Kundra along with Shilpa Shetty and their son
Viaan and daughter Samisha went to Dharamshala. Shilpa Shetty has been sharing
pictures of their trip on social media, but none of the posts featured her
husband.

Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 this year and was charged under
relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Information Technology
Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Kundra was named the key accused in a case that involved production and
streaming of pornographic videos. At the center of the controversy was a
platform called “Hotshots” which the Mumbai police claim was being used to upload
and stream pornographic material. According to the police, the app was developed
by Raj Kundra-owned company Arms Private Ltd. Kundra, however, has denied active
involvement with the functioning of the app.

In the charge-sheet filed by the Mumbai police crime branch, Raj Kundra
has been named the “chief facilitator” in the case. Police said that Kundra
along with other accused “exploited young women struggling in the movie
industry by filming them in obscene ways”.

Shilpa Shetty, a Bollywood superstar, has refrained from commenting on
her husband’s arrest as well as the charges against him saying that the case is
sub-judice. “As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal
remedies. But, till then I humbly request you — especially as a MOTHER — to respect
our privacy for my children’s sake,” Shetty had said at the time.

The 46-year-old actress had further said that she has “full faith” in
the Mumbai police and the Indian judiciary.
