Following the purchase of an NFT, Bored Ape Yacht Club for $180,000 worth of Ethereum, Stephen Curry has revealed his new role as Global Brand Ambassador and stakeholder for the cryptocurrency trading platform FTX.

Curry said in a statement, “I’m excited to partner with a company that ‘demystifies’ the crypto space and eliminates the intimidation factor for first-time users,” he further added, “FTX is likeminded when it comes to giving back to the community in meaningful ways and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

FTX is a user-friendly centralized exchange that focuses on derivatives and leveraged products and supports the majority of traded cryptocurrencies. The platform has pledged an annual donation to Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Eat Learn Play Children’s Foundation that works to eradicate childhood hunger, ensure children have access to excellent education and provide safe places for children to play and be creative.
