In the wake of rising coronavirus cases in India, the candidates of Union Public Service Commission National Defence Academy 2021 exam, which is due on April 18, 2021, are demanding to postpone it amid weekend curfew and local lockdowns across the country. 

The demand comes after the government cancelled CBSE class 10th and postponed class 12 board exams on April 14. The NEET PG 2021 exam were also postponed looking at the rising COVID-19 cases on April 15.

With less than a day left, the candidates are still in a dilemma if the exam will take place or get deferred. Until now, there has been no official announcement regarding postponement of the NDA exam. The latest updates regarding the exam will be available on the official website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in.

Students have taken to the micro-blogging site Twitter demanding postponement of the exams. A lot of candidates have  said that they are “COVID positive” and won’t be able to sit in exams if held on Sunday.

As local governments have imposed weekend curfew and lockdown in various parts of the country,  the applicants say it will be difficult for them to appear for the exam.

The UPSC NDA exam is conducted every year in order to recruit candidates into Air Force and Army wings of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy course.
