The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday said that the medical board had submitted its report directly to the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI), which is probing the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, as per ANI.
The hospital said, “Being a legal matter, any inputs on the report submitted by the medical board would have to be obtained from the CBI.”
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. Currently, the CBI, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate(ED) are investigating the death of the 34-year old actor.
In August, Sudhir Gupta, the head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at AIIMS, New Delhi, which visited Sushant’s residence had told PTI that all possibilities of murder were being looked into and all possible angles would be thoroughly examined.
On October 3, Gupta ruled out murder completely and said that Sushant’s death was a case of suicide.
Gupta had told ANI, “There were no injuries over the body other than hanging. There were no marks of struggle/scuffle in the body and clothes of the deceased.”
