The
investigation regarding the Sushant Singh Rajput death case has been handed
over to CBI, the Centre told the Supreme Court on August 5.

This comes after, Bihar Chief
Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday evening recommended the transfer of
investigation to the Supreme Court.

While appearing
before the apex court, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the Centre
has given its nod for a CBI probe into the matter. 

The Supreme Court also heard Rhea Chakraborty’s petition seeking transfer of investigation in the
case registered against her from Patna to Mumbai.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on
June 14.
