‘Asuran’ actor Nitish Veera
on Monday died from COVID-19 related complications. Veera, aged 45, died in Chennai’s
Omandurar Government hospital, as per various media reports.

Veera, part of the Tamil film industry, has appeared in films such as ‘Pudhupettai’ (2006), his debut film from director Selvaraghavan, as well as Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Sindhanai etc.

One of his significant recent performances came in ‘Asuran’, directed by Vetrimaaran.

Several actors and filmmakers reacted to the incident, paying their condolences on
Twitter.

“REST IN PEACE MY “MANI”, wrote Selvaraghavan, referring to the actor by the name of the character he played in his debut film.

  “Rest in peace my friend Nitish Veera. We did two films together #kazhugoo and #Bellbottom. An extremely passionate actor and a kind soul.

The second is wave is not a joke guys…. can’t loose anyone anymore… pls stay in and stay safe”, wrote fellow Kollywood actor Krishna.
