A man accused of rape was recently given granted bail by the Delhi High Court. The relief was given because according to the presiding judge, the tattoo that the victim had was too clear to be done by sheer force. The victim alleged that the accused had forcibly tattooed his name on her arm. But the judge said that a tattoo on the forearm could not be made if there was resistance.

“In my opinion, making tattoos is an art and a special machine is required for the same. Moreover, it is also not easy to make such a tattoo which is on the forearm of the complainant if there is some resistance from the other side,” Justice Rajnish Bhatnagar said during the trial. This reason was used to grant bail to the accused.

The woman had alleged that she was forced into a physical relationship with the man between 2016 and 2019. She also reiterated that the man had threatened and blackmailed her into the relationship.
