On 15th August 2021, India will celebrate her 75th year of Independence from the British Empire. On this day at the stroke of midnight, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister, unfurled the National Flag above the Lahori Gate of Red Fort, for the first time.
Normally marked by a grand celebration at the Red Fort, Independence Day this year will be celebrated amidst countless COVID-19 protocols. The celebration will not only be live, but also will be featured in a 360-degree format, as the government integrates the virtual reality feature. In spite of all the changes, the one thing that will remain unchanged will be the Prime Minister’s speech.
