Axis Bank 

The private sector lender registered a massive 54% year-on-year growth in standalone profit at Rs 4,118 crore, largely driven by a significant fall in provisions and improved asset quality performance for the quarter ended March 2022. Net interest income grew by 16.7% year-on-year to Rs 8,819 crore with credit growth of 15% and deposits growth of 19% for the March 2022 quarter.

Maruti Suzuki India, IndusInd Bank, UltraTech Cement, Wipro, SBI Cards and Payment Services, Can Fin Homes, Geojit Financial Services, Gillette India, GNA Axles, Gokaldas Exports, HFCL, Just Dial, L&T Finance Holdings, Lloyds Metals and Energy, RPG Life Sciences, Shriram City Union Finance, Solara Active Pharma Sciences, Sonata Software, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company, Supreme Industries, Tanla Platforms, Tata Chemicals, and Thyrocare Technologies will release their quarterly earnings on April 29.

Biocon Limited

The company reported a 4% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 283.9 crore in the fourth quarter ended on March 31, 2022, as compared to Rs 296.4 crore in the same quarter’s previous fiscal. The company said its board of directors has recommended a final dividend at the rate of 10% of the face value per share, for the financial year ended March 31, 2022. The company has appointed former HSBC India Chairperson Naina Lal Kidwai as an independent director.

Bajaj Finserv 

The company reported a 37.5% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 1,346.1 crore for the March quarter of the financial year 2021-22. In the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2021, its consolidated net profit stood at Rs 979 crore.

Tata Power 

The company has collaborated with the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Maharashtra to install up to 5,000 EV charging points across its member developer properties.

IIFL Finance 

The company reported nearly 30% year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 321 crore on healthy growth in topline and operating profit. Revenue from operations during the quarter grew by 16% to Rs 1,856.2 crore compared to the year-ago period.

Lemon Tree Hotels 

The company has received approval from the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors to acquire a 25.10% shareholding of Carnation Hotels from Rattan Keswani.

Fineotex Chemical 

Profit after tax of the group has increased by 42% year-on-year to Rs 17 crore on strong topline and operating income. Revenue rose by 62% YoY to Rs 121.4 crore in the quarter ended March 2022, and operating EBITDA surged 67% to Rs 21.52 crore in the same period.

Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) 

The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary — CAMSfinserv has collaborated with Microsoft India to develop a robust technology foundation for the Account Aggregator (AA) marketplace in India, to accelerate digital transformation in areas such as credit lending, and investment advisory and personal finance management.

Ambuja Cements 

Profit fell sharply by 30.3% year-on-year to Rs 856.5 crore due to higher power & fuel cost and muted topline growth in the quarter ended March 2022. Revenue increased by 2.4% to Rs 7,900 crore during the same period.

Infosys 

The company has been positioned as a leader in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for data and analytics service providers. Separately, the Labour Ministry will hold a second round of discussion with Infosys on its non-compete agreement, which bans ex-employees from working for the same customers in rival firms, on May 16.

Vedanta 

The company reported a 5% year-on-year decline in consolidated profit at Rs 7,261 crore in the quarter ended March 2022, impacted by higher tax costs and expenses, supported by a healthy topline and operating income. Revenue during the quarter grew by 41% YoY to Rs 39,342 crore and there was the highest ever quarterly EBITDA at Rs 13,768 crore in Q4FY22 which increased by 51% YoY, driven by higher volumes, operational efficiencies and supportive commodity prices. The company announced the first interim dividend of Rs 31.5 per share for the financial year 2022-23.

SBI Life Insurance Co Limited

The company reported a 26% rise in net profit at Rs 672.15 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2022. The company’s profit stood at Rs 532.38 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

The bank has reported an over 2-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 355.23 crore for the fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2022, as compared to Rs 165.08 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
