The University Grants Commission (UGC) has release four scholarship program for students of college and university. Candidates who wants to get benefit of the scholarship can apply online on the official website of National Scholarship Portal i.e. scholarship.gov.in.

The four scholarship program are: UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship, PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship For Single Girl Child, UGC Scholarship For University Rank Holders, and Postgraduate SC, ST Scholarship Scheme. These scholarships are for students pursuing professional courses.

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship for North Region India

UGC Ishan Uday scholarship is for those students belongs to North East Region of India. The main of UGC Ishan Uday scholarship is to provide equal opportunities to the students of North East Region for better higher education.

Under this scheme there are only 10,000 scholarship. Students will receive Rs 5,400 per month for general degree courses and Rs 7,800 per month for the courses like technical, medical, professional and para medical. The last date to apply for the scholarship is November 30, 2021.

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship For Single Girl Child

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship For Single Girl Child was introduced by the UGC to recognize the value of observance of the small family norm and to support education of single girl child in postgraduate courses. Girl students without a brother or girl students who are twin daughters or fraternal daughters can apply for this scholarship scheme.

Under this scheme only 3,000 scholarship are available. The last date to apply is November 30, 2021. Student will get Rs 36,200 per year.

UGC Scholarship For University Rank Holders

The University Rank Holders PG Scholarship is for postgraduate students with “outstanding performance” at the undergraduate level. Professional and distance learning programs, however, are not covered under this program. The first and second positions of university administrators, who have taken regular, full-time full-time courses at any recognized university, a private university, a private college or a graduate college may apply for this course.

Under this scheme, only 3,000 scholarship are available. The last date to apply is November 30, 2021. Students will get Rs 3,100 per month.

Postgraduate SC, ST Scholarship Scheme

The PG Scholarship Scheme for the SC ST Students For Professional Courses aims to provide financial assistance to the designated Caste (SC) and Tribe (Tr) (ST) planners to pursue higher studies in Professional Studies. Applicants who have enrolled in MA, MSc, MCom, MSW and Mass Communication and Journalism programs are not eligible for this course. These courses are treated as non-technical subjects.

Under this scheme, only 1,000 scholarship are available and the last date to apply is November 30, 2021. Students will get Rs 7,800 per month for the courses like ME, MTech courses and Rs 4,500 per month for other courses.
