Ahead of the presentation of the financial statement, Union finance ministry launched the ‘Union Budget Mobile App’ to ensure easy access to the budget documents after they are presented in the Lok Sabha on February 1. This will be extremely helpful as the budget is going paperless this year.

The app is developed for both Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded from Play Store and App Store. It can also be downloaded from the Union Budget Web Portal http://indiabudget.gov.in.

The app, which is designed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), has a user-friendly interface and will give complete access to 14 budget documents, including the annual financial statement, financial bill and Demand for Grants. The app does not require  login or registration.

It is bilingual and all the documents will be available in English and Hindi.
