The counting of votes for the UP gram panchayat election has begun all across the state. The first phase of the election took place on April 15, 2021, while the second, third and fourth took place on April 19, April 26 and April 29 respectively.

The Uttar Pradesh Panchayat election witnessed a four phase election in 75 district including Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Kanpur and Amethi, This year around 12.39 % of voters were eligible for voting and lakhs of candidates were in fray for around 7.2 lakh seats in the gram panchayat ward, 58,176 in gram panchayat and 75,852 of Kshetra Panchayat and 3,050 in Zilla Panchayat.

As per the Election commission, in the first and the second phase a total of around 71% voters turned out, while the third phase recorded 73.5% and the fourth phase recorded 75% of voters. People can check the result on the official state election commission website.

The State Election Commission (SEC) said that only those candidates who have tested negative for COVID-19 will be allowed to entre the counting centre.
